Adani App users now enjoy direct lounge access as part of a major digital service update by Adani Airports. The new feature removes the need for third-party aggregators, allowing seamless lounge booking through the official app. Available at Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and six other airports, this move reflects Adani Airports’ push for digital transformation under the leadership of CEO Arun Bansal.
In a big leap toward digital convenience, Adani Airports Holding Ltd. has launched direct lounge booking through its official app and website. Travelers using Adani-operated airports no longer need to go through third-party platforms or aggregators to access lounge services.
This move aims to simplify and enhance the passenger journey. Instead of relying on external booking platforms, travelers can now use the Adani App or website to reserve lounge access instantly.
Arun Bansal, CEO of Adani Airports, announced the development via LinkedIn, emphasizing the vision for a smooth, world-class experience. “No intermediaries – just direct access through our platform,” he shared.
The direct booking feature is now live across eight key airports managed by the Adani Group:
This initiative is led by the Adani Airports Digital Lab, a dedicated division focused on improving digital services and customer experience.
Until recently, many passengers accessed lounges using aggregator platforms or through credit card-linked benefits. However, the recent exit of major banks like Axis Bank and ICICI Bank from partnerships with Dreamfolks—a leading aggregator—has disrupted this system.
Dreamfolks noted a potential financial impact following these exits, citing possible pressure from airport operators. The timing of Adani’s announcement hints at a strategic shift in how airport services are offered.
With direct booking now in place, travelers can:
This development reduces dependence on aggregators and gives airport operators more control over the passenger journey.
Adani’s move reflects a broader industry trend. Airports are starting to take ownership of services that were once outsourced. This gives them the power to tailor offerings, improve customer satisfaction, and cut out unnecessary intermediaries.
For travelers, this means faster bookings, better service, and fewer surprises. However, it also means that those who relied on credit card perks for lounge access may need to adjust how they plan their airport visits.
If you’re flying through any Adani-operated airport, consider downloading the Adani Airport App or visiting the official website. This will let you book lounge access directly, without needing third-party services.
As more airports follow suit, staying updated through official apps can be the best way to ensure a smooth, connected travel experience.
